Hi, I have been playing with security generated macros.
Specifically I have an arm and disarm macro triggered by the KR10A arm and disarm buttons respectively... one sends an email that says it has been armed and the other sends an email that says it has been disarmed. Both macros are triggered appropriately but the same email gets sent each time... armed... any ideas. Yes, the emails are different. And the appropriate macro log shows the right ones activated.

Sorry I can't help here... but you might be able to help me. Do you have to have the MY House plugin for email or does it come with OnAlert? If it comes with it where do you find it?

Yes, you do need the MyHouse plugin for email macro commands. They will be found under 'Advanced' in the room selection list.
As for the wrong emails getting sent out, I'll look into it and post my findings.

I don't have a KR10a here but I tried it with a SH624. The first macro is triggered by 'Arm Home Instant', the second by 'Disarm'. I get both emails when I use the remote.
Have you run the macro report to see that it is really configured to do what you think? Maybe the messages got messed up. If not, email me your .ahx file and I'll take a look at it.

Say will OnAlert also work with Monitor Plus and if you forget to turn on the system how do you check the status and turn it on using the internet. Thanks

Thanks, I found that what was happening was that since I was trying to send TWO emails. When I created the second email task it was changing the first also. Would appear that in any one macro you can only send one UNIQUE email... can send it as many times as you wish. I guess I will need to send arm/disarm to a distribution list of some kind to get the effect I wish.

That would be a bug. I'll look into it on Monday.

There is no 'sure way' to check the state of the security consoles. If you setup OnAlert to monitor the remote controls you have installed in your security console, you can check the monitored Arm Status in the applications status bar but if you were to arm the system manually, ActiveHome Pro wouldn't receive any notification.
If you want to turn the system on remotely, create a macro that includes one of the 'Arm' commands. Then using MyHouse Online you can trigger that macro remotely to arm your security console. You could also assign a timer to this macro to make sure you system is armed by a specific time every day.

The timer is a very good idea... course sure could catch someone off guard if they were there afterhours.
That is why I have been using the email system to send myself the status. Until bug fixed I have created an outlook "rule" to send any mail to a distribution list of alarm monitoring users.

PS: Sort of piddling around... the big red button works also if you install it as a "medial pendant" then HOLD the button till it sends the panic code. Would be better to just write a macro to "see it" on a single push then send the panic code... in the case of robbery at the register. Ask them to add a "panic" to the four current security actions.
