Title: W800RF Tranceiver Compatible with DS7000
Post by: wormboy on January 12, 2007, 11:37:13 PM
I plan on installing a W800RF tranceiver to work my x10 remotes, but its bugging me to think that this won't help my DS7000 with detecting sensor signalls.  Anyone know if it possible can?  That would be most sweet if I could. ;D
Thanks

Unfortunately the PS561 only recognizes RF signals. It would be nice if you could transceive distant sensors onto the power lines and have the PS561 respond that way too.

I'm not sure what this question means. I have the WGL800 and it neither works w/ AHP or my DS7000. I suppose it could work w/ AHP with some programming. However it DOES receive the security sensors signals from a very long range.

So with HS and a plugin, I can have most anything happen when a security sensor is triggered - such as open a door - turn on a light. There is even an option to make it a software alarm system, replacing the DS7000 base unit, but I haven't tried this since my DS7000 works great as is.

Very similar to AHP with OnAlert - except the range is better. Seems if you do the antenna mods to the CM15A you could get similar results.

Whoa, hold on there GLT, this is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I have the DS7000 for security.  And I am going to install the WG800RF for my x10 Home Automation through Home Seer 2.  What I am hoping to do is have HS detect any signals sent from sensors.

What plugins wold I need to get HS to detect my sensors (door/window/glass break sensors)?

The ACRF plugin (paid), maybe the free w800 plugin.

Time to take this thread to the HS boards.
