Post by: PaulBennett on February 07, 2007, 04:45:20 AM
"Warning - Your ActiveHomePro system has the iWitness Plugin installed and registered but ActiveHomePro is unable to connect to the USB Device."

I bought the whole software pack under pressure but don't like the camera capture feature..

I am frustrated getting this nag message which greatly slows my use of the software.   How do I get rid of this message?

ActiveHome Pro sucks

Calm down, Paul.

This is a common problem, and a search by you would have found the cure. But, here it is:

1. Unplug the CM15A from the outlet.
2. Remove the batteries.
3 Wait five minutes.
4. Shut the computer down.
5. Replace the batteries in the 15 and plug it back in the outlet.
6. Reboot the computer. When Windows loads, you should hear a "beep", which says Windows has found a new device.
7. Open the Control Panel, click on System, then click the hardware tab. Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controller s, you should see "X10 USB Active Home (ACPI-compliant"
8 open AHP, you should not get any odd messages.

Actualy you don't Have to do all that Dan!
And most times that won't work As windows sees the intel cam driver instead!
But this will fix the problem Paul: Topic: VA11A does not work  (Read 11563 times)    (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=8083.msg49642#msg49642)  provided of coarse you have a VA11A and it is pluged in!
If you don't you'll have to save your AHX file then reinstall the software but don't add the iwitness plug-in since you don't like it anyways! ;) :D ;D

The Intel Camera problem was NOT what Paul had, it was AHP's inability to see the CM15.

What I posted was the fix for that.

When You get this message the problem is the VA11A as it is a USB device as well! ;) :D
If you had that plug-in you'd Know that! ;)
But you are right! What you thought was the problem, is a common problem, As is the VA11A!
