Title: is there a worse looking site than X10's?

seriously.

it's badly cluttered and what's up with the little "fake window" dancing around that TRICKS YOU when you click on teh "X" in the upper right hand corner to close it?


that's deceiptfull and why would people do business with a company that is deceiptfull right from the git go?

How in the heck can a thread have over 800 views and no replays?

Anyway, here is mine....I agree about the "badly cluttered" web site, in fact this is partly why I posted my thread above named "confusing". I agree it could give the impression of being deceptive however I have had very good service from X10 with timely deliveries, great products for the price and helpful technical service reps.

One thing that I find kind of deceptive is the fact that some customers may believe that all wireless cameras have audio capabilities (and most due) but you are sold only a video receiver. I guess what I am saying is that if a camera has both video and audio capabilities you should only be sold the video/audio receiver and not just the video receiver. Why should you have to dig out the spec's in order to make sure you are getting what you expect.

all i have to say is it used to be bad yes... its not that bad anymore..  yes.. i agree.. its still pretty out there... but everyone has to admit that it is better now then it used to be... heck, we are not even pop up kings anymore..

I agree with you AlienDev. Back around the tail end of 06 is when i started getting all the emails and I looked forward to seeing what  deals I would be interested in. Back then it was a bit more R rated then it is now and many people liked that change. I for one think you guys are on the right track or at least heading that way.  Its hard to create eye popping ads when selling and make them work.

Look forward to seeing what you do or have planned for the future.

I believe my ISP blocks X10; as email of new messages, I am involved in are never received. Yes I did double check and notifications are on in my profile.
I did not see any list on my ISPs spam blocker site so for now X10 is blocked or so it looks.
I must also agree that things are a lot better now.

FWIW: I got an email from X10 today. Looks like they are on their way to solving this problem, at lest as it was affecting me. :D

AlienDev,

I have to agree that the site has gotten much better. Now if you could only get rid of that audio. Nothing worse than sitting in a quiet office and trying to take a quick look at the X10 site and have that voice start. So much for looking at the X10 site while at work.

The Internet has changed. Even more traditional news based Sites and Portals are now multi-media. I always kept my speakers turned off.

(P.S.  She impressed me as a very nice lady!)

There has always been complaints about the X10 Web Site. I dug this responce from YB up from May 15th. But the forum is now full of complaints (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?board=43.0) about the degrading half-naked format.

I for applaud X10.com for their cheesy website. Where else are you enticed to see new e-mails arriving everyday that sells junk.

So do I. And... I am proud of X10! There was a time when X10 had a really unprofessional Web Site. They have GREATLY improved their image!
