Title: How Do You Turn Electric Devices On and Off with AHP (X10)?
Post by: essp2003 on April 28, 2007, 01:17:50 PM
I had a unique application need and wondered how AHP turned items  off an on; and does it requre different modules per each device turned off and on.

I'd also like to do it realtime based on surveillance results.

The only lights that are visible in my house would be outside, which would still be all right to look like someone home if random timed and not fixed.

Thanks!!

It requires one module per device or set of devices that you want to turn off or on.

AHP has built in randomization and the ability to turn things on or off +/- theoretical dawn/dusk and/or + real (wether dependant) dawn/dusk.  Advance programming allows many other possibilities.  Read the manuals that come with the devices.  They're available in PDF format from X10's site.  Searches here will also help.

That makes sense and thanks for the site information.
AHP sounds like a good tool to work with  surveillance system.

Thanks Again!!
