Title: USB interface
Post by: dipdog on May 10, 2007, 11:58:58 AM
Hello, I have the original X10 computer interface and original ActiveHome software.  I just saw that a new version of ActiveHome has been released.  I was wondering if a) the new version of ActiveHome allows you to set extended (up to 9 min) ramp rates with the Insteon switches and b) if there are any other software packages that can download timers to the interface, such that the interface can run timers without the computer being on?

Thanx for your help

A) ActiveHome Pro (AHP) allows one to manually code up "extended commands" in the macros.  Therefore, you can set the ramp rate configuration bits just by manually specifying them.

B) AHP allows one to download timers, that will subsequently run w/o the computer being 'on' or connected.

Thanx for your replies.

Do you have a thread you can refer me to that would give directions for sending the ramp code via macro?
Also, are you aware of any other software programs that permit running timers w/o the computer being 'on' or connected?

thanx

I take it you have downloaded the Full Users Manuals for the modules you have. The Quick Guides are very lean on information.
