Title: How About A Macro Library
Post by: spam4us on October 16, 2007, 11:28:36 PM
I don't know who handles this but I think it would be useful to have a place on the board (a separate heading) titled Macro Library (or something similar) where people could post a copy of their working Macros.  Each macro would have to have an explanation as to what it does or it gets deleted..  This place would not be for debugging problems.  It would only be for posting macros that work.  I think the requirements to post a macro would be

that it would have to be your actual Macro Report.  I see a lot of pseudo code which leads to interpretation.
It would have to include an explanation as to what it does.
It would have to have a AHP release number that it works under.
It would have to state whether it runs on the PC or Interface or both.

This would surely help the new people out since they would be able to look at working examples and also the more seasoned person being able to see different ways to do the same thing.

I realize this of course would require someone to moderate this area and the effort to do this would take a great deal of time.

Thanks
