I'm running Vanguard software, on a XP Home SP2 machine.
My 4 cameras are as follows:
1 - XCam2 (B&W) on front door, set as A2
2 - XCam2 (B&W) on back door, set as A3
3 - Ninja (Color) on living room, set as A1
4 - XCam2 (color) on hallway set as A4
My computer (with video receiver) is at one end of the house about 3' off the ground.
The transceiver module is approximately in the center of the house about 18" off the ground.
In Vanguard, I'm either getting a black and white field of static about 1/4 of the time, the actual image of the location I'm intending on monitoring about 1/4 of the time, a "Accessing Image" picture about 1/4 of the time, or the living room image. This hold true for ALL 4 cameras.
Is there something I can do to fix this situation?? ???

Welcome to the world of interfearance. Here this may help....
The maximum range of X10 wireless cameras is 100 feet. The range of your camera depends on environment--wireless interference, wall and home exterior materials, the number of floors the signal is traveling through, etc.--and where you use the camera.
The cameras transmit through walls and ceilings, but you might need to experiment with the orientation of the flat antennas on the camera and Video Receiver. Try to position them so they face each other. This will boost reception range.

Any wireless netwok interfaces or 2.4 Ghz cordless phones in the home? Both can cause interference.

I live in a 1-story house,
no cordless phones,
yes on the wireless internet router,
all cameras are less than 50' from the video receiver which is mounted about 5' from the ground, at least 3' away from any other electronics and pointed in the general direction of all the 4 cameras.

I think you or a nabor may have something interfearing with then, or they could be defective.

Defective.
I'm sure you're right, just called for a RMA... sending everything back.
