Title: Responding to events based on time
Post by: adame on February 15, 2008, 09:40:30 AM
Is it possible with the ActiveHome Pro software to change the default action to a certain event based on time?

e.g. in the morning the PIR sensor (when activated) turns on a fan but in the afternoon it switches on a light instead.

Thanks!

If you have the Smart Macros plug-in, then you can set up elses with time conditions so that a single trigger (e.g. motion detector) can select between various actions to perform.

As Puck said, yes you can. My Halloween display works this way. The sensor at my front door triggers my Halloween display (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=13614.msg75737#msg75737) on Oct 31 and just the light and camera on other days.

You'll be amazed what you can do with the SmartMacro plug-in!
Do a little reading in the Smartmacro section or do an Advanced Search you'll find many examples for conditions and elses! ;)
