I'm trying to teach my remote some codes - I'm following the instructions but the remote doesn't behave correctly.
Action Reaction
Press/hold setup LED lights solid
Press "TV" LED flashes once
Press "Learn" LED blinks 7 times then goes out (according to manual should blink once)
Then I'm no longer in setup mode
I tried taking out the batteries - same thing.
Any suggestions?
Paul

Learning remotes are sensitive to IR from all sources. Try it in a dimly illuminated room, e.g., close blinds and turn off lights, taking care that the learning port is not pointed towards a window or other source of IR.

Some other tips from my own experience, clear out memory just in case you have "garbage" filling it up. Practice learning just a button or two. Once you get the feel for it, clear out memory once again, and program your remote for good.
Do you have the 4 battery or the 2 battery version? The 2 battery version is the newer one, and actually is easier to program.
