It does not appear to be X10 compatible and is pricey to boot.  :(

I would like to try JUST the camera part but 10 $ a mounth.

FWIW from an ex insider:

The Motorola system is RF based and probably easier to set up. Hard to say whether camera pix is any better than X10. I do not know if the Motorola system is using a CMOS or CCD device, otherwise would speculate more.

However, mother Motorola is not doing well and is concentrating just on keeping the 2-Way and cellular businesses afloat. I would not be surprised to see Moto quit supporting this venture.

The Motorola Homesight Gateway - No PC Required Version, who wants to leave a computer runing at a cottage.

Yep, I herd they overheated and caused damage. I got the starter kit and I plan on setting up a demo for you all ;D.

I am interested in seeing how this works.  I don't like ActiveHome Pro as it is more of a sales tool to x10 and I will lose sales.
