Title: Easiest way for AHP to know about DS7000 Alarm?
Post by: PajamaGuy on June 10, 2008, 02:25:23 PM
I can reeeallly improve the WAF if I can do this right!  She got really scared this morning while returning home after dropping me at work.  A known weirdo was outside the garage.  So she called and asked me to phone her whenever the alarm goes off.

The DS7000 should (and probably will) call me.  But is there a simple way in AHP (with On-Alert) to trigger a macro by the alarm going off?  Or do I use multiple conditional macros triggered by sensors?

There is no direct way from the DS7000 alarm.

This is the way to do it. Use a separate macro for each security device. I have mine all call a common phantom module/macro so I don't have to repeat the same steps over & over. In each individual macro I also have AHP send my phone a text message to tell me which security device just triggered the alarm (something you can't get from the DS7000's phone call).

Other than sending an email to a cell address via AHP - is there another way?

Have BVC annunicate the zone during the call.

If you have a voice modem you can use AlertDialer (http://www.angelfire.com/in2/ontkoi/X10AHP/Alertdialer.html) ;)
If you have x10dispatcher (http://x10dispatcher.com/) you can send messages via MSN
