Title: Any news about new SDK release
Post by: mvago on July 18, 2008, 06:42:54 PM
Hi,

Do you know if X10 is planning on release a new SDK version that includes support for the security sensors?
This will be VERY usefull, this will create a lot of new ideas and oportunities for the X10 stuff.
Right now I'm limited and not able to use the door sensors, etc in my application. The AHP software is good but does not provide what I want and I would like to create my own software that, together with AHP, will be able to accomplish everything that I want.

Thanks

Those X10 Contests could have been a lot better if they gave us the ability to use sensors... that's for sure...

The wires unscrew off those door sensors, so I am sure a lot could be done with them very easily to detect if something is on. If they could also make the reverse of that and have a door sensor style module that completed a circuit when it got a command, you could activate any button or switch on most devices not currently controllable by X10. I guess I would be hoping for a Universal Module that was as cheap as the door sensors.
