I found this on a uk site is there anything like this here in the Americas. works with X10

Yeah... Jsnlong shared that and some other X10 Europe products (http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=17349.msg95671#msg95671) with us just a few weeks ago.

You can read more there why it doesn't work. Or how you can make it work... but it costs.

Unfortunately proper LCARS would require a touch screen.  But, I hear ya!   :)%

Just wondering... where will you mount your touchscreen. I have also been thinking of such a device... and wondering where it would go/mount? I have seen YouTube Videos that have automated homes with touch screens. In the videos... I have seen the screens in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and near entries. I think I would like mine to also be able to display video images of driveway traffic or a front door visitor.

I haven't figured out the perfect location for my 1943 built home yet. The architect wasn't thinking far enough ahead... I guess.

well dave I have been thinking of putting  it into a coffee table with a computer, but I think that will look ugly; so I'm thinking of a Bartop/Countertop type construction. I have a spare asus pundit, and with a touch screen and a few square L.E.D buttons you could make something very interesting and pleasing too look at..
