Title: VK49A color spots
Post by: CaptainStarbuck on August 21, 2009, 07:47:45 PM
I have an old VK49A that's never been used - the hard plastic cover was still on the lens. I just set it up and I get an image but there are small fixed spots of red, blue, and other colors all over the field of view.  I'm guessing this has more to do with the lens or processing of the image and not static because it's perfectly consistent - that is, the color spots are being transmitted.

Any idea what this is or how to eliminate the spots?

I have the camera and receiver in line-of-site just a few feet away for testing.  The plastic cap is off the lens, and I have tried all four channels with no difference.

Thanks!
