Title: Do we have a library here?
Post by: pconroy on April 09, 2010, 04:50:51 PM
A couple of months ago - I wanted to take a peek at the IBM HD23A remote manual.  I googled and, much to my surprise, I didn't find anything online.  No PDFs!

Yes, I saw some references to an X10 remote that was similar, so I got my answer.

but...

I went ahead and scanned in the HD23A manual.
Does this forum have a library, like Yahoo groups, for example, where we could upload such things?

If nothing else but for Historical Preservation purposes?   ;D

My guess, since IBM probably got their X10 stuff from the same Chinese factory that X10 USA got their stuff from, X10 wasn't going to contact IBM to get it.

Look at the HD23As FCC ID. If it starts with B4S it is an X10 remote made for them.
You may even find the remotes information in the FCC database. I have found schematics and photos of many X10 devices there. X10 chose not to make the data confidential as most other manufacturers have.
