Title: XPR used to power a refrigerator
Post by: abc1667xxxxx537 on June 02, 2010, 07:52:57 PM
Anyone know if an XPR receptacle can run a standard sized house refrigerator which itself is on a dedicated 20A circuit (without killing the XPR or burning the house down)?

How much current does the refridgerator take?
XPR rating is 20 amps, so yes it will handle the refridgerator.

But why would you want to do that??? An accidental "All Off" command would shut off the refrigerator and you might not be aware of it until the water dribbles out the freezer. Would be really hard on the Bryers Ice Cream.
