Install an on/off switch for the Siren on the Console to allow the siren to be turned OFF when in the 'Away' mode. The advantages are huge... first, you can actually hear any noise in the home without the siren blaring, second, your neighbors (apartment, condo, townhome) aren't annoyed by false alarms and placed in mortal danger by real break ins, and most importantly, the intruder is not notified that the security system is active, allowing time for the police to respond to your home. A small switch located on the console and simple re-routing the siren wiring with careful soldering does the deed!
