I am using 3 MS-16a's to control a single ac device (water valve).
Using a wireless remote receptacle, I can manually override the X10 system with an ON/OFF signal to the receptacle that powers the 3 UM506 units.
I may also want to add a water leak detector to the system.
I need the ability to use the leak detected signal to send an OFF signal the the main power.
X10 solution or suggestions?

1. X10 Powerflash driven by third party moisture detector. You will need an extra relay between the detector and the Powerflash to reverse the logic to the Powerflash (moisture will actually cause the Powewrflash to send an OFF).
2. CM15A and AHP triggered by hacked MS16A motion detector or DS10A security transmitter again triggerd by third party moisture detector (search this forum, there are past contributions of moisture detectors and hacking details) (For the MS16A the light/dark cadmium sulfide cell is used as the input for the 3rd party detector so you still have motion sensing).

The X10 Powerflash Interface allows a low voltage contact closure to trigger an X10 command, allowing you to control lights, appliances or group scenes. The Powerflash is a simple plug-in unit with input terminals that hardwire to a low-voltage device or contact closure sensor. When contact closure is sensed by the Powerflash Interface, it sends an X10 signal. In Mode 1, when contact closure is sensed, it will send an ALL LIGHTS ON signal to switches and lamp modules; additionally, it will send an ON signal to any device with the same House Code and Unit Code (address) such as A2. In Mode 2, when contact closure is sensed, it will send a flashing ALL LIGHTS ON/ALL APPLIANCES OFF command
What is the /ALL APPLIANCES OFF command?

There is no All Appliances Off command.
It is All Units Off. That command turns everything on the House Code Off. Including appliance modules. Since appliance modules do not respond to the All Lights On command. They would stay off. Only lamp modules and wall switches would go back on.
That cycle of commands is what also triggers the Powerhorn Siren Modules.

Here is another possible solution ($13.76) if you can press the button when water triggers the button pressing mechanism.
Edit; Open remote sending unit, make connection to button contacts, place sponge near magnetic switch elements, when water swells sponge, elements move closer, activate switch.

You would use the Power Flash in Mode 3, and the Power Flash would have the same HCUC as your water valve. The Power Flash can be triggered by closure, low voltage AC or DC, and audio.
Any of these detectors will trigger the Power Flash
This unit would have to be hacked to connect the piezo alarm to the Power Flash contacts.

This unit has N.O. and N.C. contacts, so an extra relay for Power Flash would not be required.
