Title: VB6 sample code
Post by: macrobob on October 22, 2010, 07:32:59 AM
I know this an old subject but X10 stated way back in 08 that they would have a VB6 sample on the sample code page. I still don't see it there.

Just my .02, but it may be time for you to consider migrating to VB.net.

I have ton's of code for Vb.net VB2008 express
VB2010 express is the current version I believe.

I had to give up on using perl a few years ago
It was a bit of a learning curve, but not horrible since I already understand how to program in other languages.
It was a great move to learn to code in VB2008.

I am just starting out testing this stuff and would appreciate a link or direction to Visual Studio examples! I can start out in VB6 I guess but honestly I haven't been using it much for years. C# or VB.NET examples would be much more helpful!

Thx

Robert

Click on the link in my sig to download one of my X10 Vb.net examples.
My example shows how to turn things on and off and monitor X10 traffic

I don't have any links to anything on the web.
You would probably have to do a search.

I am trying to use a CM19A to receive commands to be read into visual basic. I have not used vb.net so I would like to know if anyone has done this with visual basic.

Christopher
