Title: DS 7000 with "warning watchdog" normally open contact"
Post by: Scotteye on January 03, 2011, 08:39:50 PM
I have the DS 7000 console along with remotes & sensors, I want to hook the "warning watchdog" ( monitors voltage & freon pressure on condensor units at church). Warning watchdog has aux  (normally open) contact. any ideas?

I never needed to use NO yet so havent messed with it, but couldn't you just use a small 5 cent PNP transistor and 1k resistor?

I use LEDs across the reed contacts on ds10s to show when the switch is open (hard to see the ds10s switches 12' in the air in the dark barn to make sure doors are really closed right) so i know there is some small voltage and current there....  seems collector to one ds10 wire, emitter to other, 1k res from base to emitter then NO contact from base to collector should do it....  someone (retired with lots of time) should rig this up and get schematic posted for NO interface w/o having to modify a ds10?
