Title: Newbie - Just purchased ActiveHome Software and SecuriLink Security System
Post by: bt54 on April 02, 2011, 04:21:14 PM
Thanks in advance for any advise !!!  How can I control X10 devices from my computer.  The system did not include the CS15 transceiver for my PC.  I understand that the SecuriLink module is a transceiver but it is not connected to my PC.

X10's CM15A with Active Home Pro and what ever plug-ins you find interesting is the most economical method.

How did you purchase AHP and not get the CM15A or CM19A with TM751 package?
I have never seen AHP sold alone. Some of the plug ins maybe available alone.
Yes the SC1200 console can tranceive standard X10 RF signals from remotes. On the House Code you set it to in menu #7 options.

I have not received the shipment yet.  You are correct it does come with the CM19A (it is not listed as part of the package).  Based on what I've read should I returrn the CM19A and get the CM15A?

I would say YES!!!  For the CM19A you need a transiever (TM751 or RR501) to put RS signals on the powerline.  The CM15A does that all, both RS and Power line signals!

Update - my order arrived today.  I initially updated my order from the 19 piece to the 29 piece security system but they shipped the 19 piece.  When I called I asked about the snafu they took care of it.  A asked about swapping the CM19A for the CM15A and it was no problem.

I am running into a problem adding the SC1200in the Active Home software.  The setup asks for two codes (house code and module code).  I see House code and lamp code in the SC1200 but I thought they were for adding lamps.  I tried those codes and the console was not added to the room - any ideas?

The SC1200 Console is NOT in AHP!!!  It's a security stand alone console.  Do a search here for SC1200.

Funny, but it shows up as a SC12A in my AHP.  Guess the plain vanilla version is lacking.

Dan; I believe the On_Alert plug in adds the security stuff for AHP to control.
I do find it odd that in AHP it is called a SC12 and not a SC1200.

You ain't just whistling Dixie, Brian!!!  A quick ASK search for SC12 resulted in 15 pages of various SC12 things but ZERO X10!!!
