Title: can't get vangard to work

i hooked up the cam system per directions and when I ran the software to check cam out the only cam I had come up was the one built into my computer. I cannot get the x10 cam to come up no matter what code I put on. I am running windows7 . Is there anything I can do about this as it activates my webcam automatically?
