Title: Delay when setting a flag
Post by: spam4us on April 18, 2011, 09:22:17 PM
Just noticed this.  Whenever I set a flag either on or off, it takes about 4 seconds until the next command executes.

Example.
macro Trigger e2 on (ms16)

9:03:00  Turn f2 on (flood light)
            set flag3 on
9:03:04  turn on d9 (chime upstairs)
9:03:05  turn on f3 (inside light)
9:03:06  turn on d10 (chime in basement)
             set flag3 off
9:03:10  Turn f4 on (basement light)

What happens is in the activity monitor, there is a 4 second time lapse between the Turn f2 on and the turn d9 on. Then there is another 4 second time lapse between the Turn d10 on and the turn f4 on.

I am running version 3.206 with no problems and have been for the last 2 years or so.
Any ideas?
There are no delay commands in the macro.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.  I appreciate it.

Don't you mean 3.

Don't you mean 3.306?  There's no 3.206

No.  It's 3.206.  Right there on my "Help/About" page.

Are you running the US version, or the European version?

it's the U.S. version.  I've had it for 2 or more years running on an xp desktop with no other problems.

I know it will be a bit of a problem, but delete the macro and build it back.  That has worked for me on at least one occasion.

According to X10's revision history, there was no 3.206:

In any case, I still recommend upgrading to the latest version, which (as of this posting) is 3.311.

I believe 3.206 resulted in adding one of the plug-ins to 3.204, what the plug-in is covered here in another thread.

On the Help/About page it says "Last Update  9/11/2006 and Version 3.206.  I'd post a screen shot of it here but it also has my name on it which I don't want to share.

I've deleted the macro and rebuilt it.  Still the same result (4 second pause).

How do I get the updated version?  Where do I go to get it?

thanks
