Title: x10 outdoor switch for pool light
Post by: schmuttis on August 14, 2011, 02:45:19 PM
Hi all,

I've been looking for an x10 product to replace an outdoor switch that controls the lights in my in-ground pool but haven't been able to find anything. I can't put the control inside the house (without rewiring) since the circuit also provides power to the pool filter and other lights. I can't put something after the switch since all the wires are underground to the pool lights. The current outdoor switch is in a metal box with a bar/lever that is used for the switch. Any suggestions?

Can you squeeze a X10Pro XPFM inside the box?
It is meant to be used inside fixtures or electrical boxes.

One other thought. Is the pool lighting 120 Volts?

I went with an Inline Receiver Module. I was hoping to find something with a switch too but decided that I can always use a RF to do the manual turning off or on if I should need it.

Thanks for your help. It was greatly appreciated.
