Title: Alarm volume very low
Post by: rbtcos on August 30, 2011, 05:31:09 PM
Is there a way to increase the volume on the alarm included with the clock? The alarm is so low it is almost inaudible wile laying down.

Are you covering the speaker when you lay it down?

No just describing a normal position. With the tablet set up on edge not laying flat, the volume is almost the same volume as the Alicia Keys song (included with the tablet) set with the sound bar end set under the e in Media.

well, we can always try an app like this one: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tywors.controlvolume&feature=also_installed

I installed master controll volume and set it to max all. The alarm volume did increase but it is still about as loud as the music set to half volume.

interesting. ok. one last thing to try.

ok, go to settings, sound, volume

that should bring up a menu with three bars, one labeled alarm. hopefully that is turned all the way up.

and on that note, part of the alarm features is that it starts off lower then max, and then increases the volume as you let it go.

I like that feature.
I like a alarm to start off subtle unless it is a security one!

The first thing I tried was "settings, sound, volume" before posting. I let the alarm sound until it said "allarm silenced after one minute" and did not notice any increase in volume as time passed.
I did not let it ring long before I installed master controll volume maybe it affected the increase in volume feature or maybe it's my unit because i am having other issues that I will post about.
