Title: Activehome will not open

I can't open Activehome on my computer, double click nothing, right click open nothing .

I have been using this software for 12-15 years tried downloading  a new copy, I get the open file security warning click run anyway and nothing happens...

Tried uninstalling from control panel add/remove it on the list but clicking on it nothing happens..

I have disabled all maleware programs, antivirus programs and windows firewall still not joy...

this current computer ( XP Pro )has been running the software for the past 5 years.

last thing I have done:
new heavy duty 230v module installed bout 2 months ago, software and hardware worked then.
reconfigured light for earlier turn on time 1 month ago all worked..

I did install avast free antivirus and uninstall AVG free antivirus

I had Avast update to 6.0.1289 and it killed my ISY99is access. Yes I am using a Insteon and X10 mix.
You say you tried it with the Avast Shields disabled?

I will see if my Active Home program can still access my CM11A and report back anything I can find.

I manually removed anything X10 and active home from my computer and registry, cleaned the registry and the program still will not even attempt to install.

Installed it on a different computer , installed just fine.. other than some comm issues i will probably just run it from there.
