Title: Powerhouse Continuously Double Beeps After Installing New MS18A Detector

Hi Folks!  I
1) put the new batteries in the detector
2) press the test button 3-4 seconds
3) place detector face down
4) switch to install on the powerhouse
5) press zone 1
6) switch the powerhouse to run mode
7) arm it with my remote and
8) BEEP beep BEEP beep continuously

The detector instruction speak of installing the detector on a different base module.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Your Security Console is a PS561 from a DS7000 Kit

The console you have does not allow you to pick a Zone and will install it in the next open Zone.

Your 1-4 are OK
After putting the console in Install
Push the Test Button in the MS18A.
It will be installed in the next Open Zone and its LED will flash.
Return the switch to run.

Ok, Thank you!  That worked.  These MS18A detectors are not that great.  Are there better that will work with the powerhouse?   Regards!

The only other X10 Security Motion Detector is the older MS10A.
I have not seen a comparison of the MS10A to the MS18A.
