Post by: wonger on February 12, 2012, 08:58:30 PM
I can't get my seagate 500gb external storage drive to work.  Stick drive works fine. What do I need to get my seagate drive to work?

well, the easiest part is to first plug it into your computer, look for it on the computer window, right click on the drive, then check the properties. Droid has a built in function for liking the FAT format. HD's and Thumbdrives using NTFS or other formats just won't be recognized.

If the drive is blank, the easiest thing would be to format it Fat, otherwise you'll need to find something 3rd party. this is according to information on Wikipedia.

I did a little quick research... Look up "Disk mount" in the Android app store. Even though you won't be able to download it, you can use the link for getting the names of similar apps to search for on Amazon or Slideme Market places.

Here's a link to what I found just asking Android's main site: https://market.android.com/details?id=au.dach.drivemount (https://market.android.com/details?id=au.dach.drivemount)
