If you are like me you have discovered that without Google's appstore - we are missing out...
There are some workarounds though that Don't involve "hacking" the Airpad XL.
Shazam -- Go to the Amazon App store Via your pc and buy it (free). Then download via the App store application. For some reason - Shazam only requires Android 2.1 - but the airpad comes up as "not compatible" and it is.
OR
go to this website - and do a Direct Download to your tablet - then go to the downloads folder - and click on it to install Shazam:

(there are other applications there for download as well.
PlayON - this little app lets you access your PlayOn server in your Home PC - letting you experince your home media and web sites such as Hulu (standard) on your tablet. The app is only available at Google --
BUT if you email tech support at PlayON they will email you the app directly.......
Will post more information as it become available - still looking for the "factory" facebook app.
