Title: airpad and clear wireless
Post by: pkosen on April 12, 2012, 04:38:00 PM
Hi,

I'm not a teckie, but can follow instructions. I have the airpad 7" with icecream. I'd like to use my Clear wireless
modem with the airpad. I can order a micro USB to ethernet converter, which I could then insert into the modem. However, am I correcting in thinking that the airpad doesn't have an internal IP number, which would preclude my use of the modem? Can an internal IP number be obtained? Otherwise, my computers are Macs, which I use with the clear modem. Anyway of getting the Macs and the airpad communicating? If not, any other ideas here? Don't want to spend additional monthly fees to access the internet, although occasional trips to coffee shop/hot spots will do, if nothing else does.

Thanks,

Phyllis

u should be able to connect to your clear wireless modem with your airpad.

r u not seeing your modem in the available connections under your wireless & networks settings ?

make sure u have not reached ur limit on the wireless modem ( u said your other computers r connected)

the modem should act as a DHCP server and give your airpad an IP address.

As hairface stated your going to need to go into your routers configuration.
You may need to set your router so it displays its SSID (sounds like it is set not to display)
