Title: Airsight access with IE 8 on Windows 7 fails to install the DvmHIPCam.exe file
Post by: finman on September 24, 2012, 08:33:07 PM
Every time I try to view my H264 camera via Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 Home Professional it starts to install the active x plug in then just fails and keeps going back to the page telling me to load the active x.  Works fine on all of my XP Pro computers just not on the Windows 7 Home Professional computer.  Any help is appreciated since many of the adjustment are on the Network Video Server program.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure your firewall and antivirus are turned off when you are installing the DVmhipcam.rar file under 'load OCX'. Otherwise, try this stuff:

ActiveX Setup (http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/ActiveX_Setup_for_AirSight_SD)

Enabling ActiveX (http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/What_do_I_do_if_ActiveX_is_blocked_in_I.E)

Agree with Tyler, BTW, run as administrator if still can not install.
