Title: choppy video in browser
Post by: prvick on September 30, 2012, 07:25:38 PM
Videos played in the browser are very choppy and sound does not match the video. I tried debugging the browser in different modes with no change. Is there a fix for this?

O.K.  Just wondering.  If you had put a bit more info in your first post as you did in your reply to me we would not be having this.

It helps to observe what forum subject the OP is posted under.

Still...... more info might be helpful. I now play/review my camera images via a Android tablet. If the OP is using wireless [IP or 2.4ghz] cameras... the RF used by the tablet and the cameras could be interacting and interfering with each other. If moving around to different locations with the tablet (like right up on the router) helps or resolves the problem... it may be a RF problem.

If that's the case try changing the setting in the router. You should have several "channels" that help screen out RF problems. Try selecting a different channel.

New at this, but yes, I did post under this category. It is a problem with playing videos whether on youtube or espn or any other web site. I saw posts about upgrading the os, but from what I gathered I have the latest. I am wondering if reinstalling the os might be a solution. It sounds drastic and I'm not very advanced in my skills so don't want to try something unless there's a reasonable expectation it would solve my problem. What do you guys, or anybody else out there think?

NO!!!

Most likely its a hardware issue. Slow connection speed, old [slow] modem or router, low memory, slow processor, even a dirty CAT5 cable connection.
