Title: Connecting PTZ to PC
Post by: Squirrel1162 on June 08, 2013, 11:06:21 PM
I've looked in several forums for an answer to my question.  I have a PTZ camera, powered by an XM14A.  I have found the instructions online to connect it to my TV, but not to my PC.  I did try using a VA12A converter connected to a WVR36 Audio/video receiver.  In both cases, I am not seeing any video on my PC.  Am I missing a file, setup or something?

What software are you attempting to use to view?
What Camera are you using?
Are you able to pan and tilt the ninja base?(does the power supply actually work?)
You stated you found directions to connect to a TV have you been successful doing that?
We really do need more info.

I have the latest update for AHP installed.  I started checking all connections pertaing to the camera.  Found that the mini male/female connection under te actual camera was loose.  I then hooked the camera to my TV, and all I get is nothing but gobledigook ((technical term for scrambled looking lines(LOL)) on both the TV and my PC.  What had happened was, I had not installed IWatchOut.  Now, like I said, no video.  Any ideas as to this problem?  Thanks again.

Still no Idea what camera you using! ::) :'
Make sure that the ABCD switches on the top of the camera and the bottom of the wireless video receiver are set to the same letter.
Make sure the antennas on the cam and receiver are pointed at each other.
RF signals can be affected many ways doing a forum search for RF interference will turn up issues that may be affecting your setup.
The manual may also give you some suggestions.
