The Leviton 6287 is a small in-line X10 filter that can isolate noisy CFL and LED ceiling lights. I installed them in our own home to isolate most ceiling light strings that might use CFL or LED lights. As a result, we have never had noise problems from any of those lights. Unfortunately, the 6287 was discontinued several years ago, and has become almost impossible to find.
There have been several recent posts where a solution would be to install a 6287 between the wall switch and the offending load.
We recently acquired a small lot of remaining stock, and they are available one to a customer for $19 plus $4 for shipping. Contact me directly if you need one.

I have some credit at Amazon and was curious if the XPNR would work for CFL's. I haven't used CFL on a 3-way dimmer before, but it works fine to turn on locally/remotely but obviously won't work when I try to turn it off remotely. It's not a major concern (only installed for the 3-way, not automation).

The XPNR is a narrow band filter that attenuates noise outside the 120KHz pass band. So if a CFL is emitting noise at 100KHz or 140KHz, the XPNR will attenuate that noise. But if the noise is near the 120KHz pass band, like the noise from that infamous Lumoform 4W LED light, the XPNR probably won't do much good. The XPPF is much better at blocking noise from a CFL or LED light, but that can't be installed in-line.

The lights I'm using are older (circa 1990-2000) dual 4' fluorescent tube fixtures. I have these installed in several locations and they don't seem to cause noise issues on other circuits. The lights are installed in a garage with the boxes accessible and the wire running in series. If prices for components were from 5 years ago ($5/each), I'd just buy a couple and plug each fixture in. Maybe I'll just keep my eyes open for an auction or local CL where someone is liquidating a system.

Nobody here wanted any of them, so they are now listed on Amazon and selling like hotcakes.

I know I should get a couple, but I never use the lights in such a way that I need to fix them. Silly since it's a 10 minute fix but if I buy the filters then I have to find 10 minutes to install them. :'
