Title: wireless baby monitor converted to wired
Post by: tuskgee22 on October 24, 2017, 02:18:47 AM
Can anyone help me out with converting a sumner wireless baby monitor to a wired camera? it has 2 wires, black and red. It has the button that ya push to send out code. I am assuming that I bypass that switch, but not sure where to hook up wires. Any help would be great.

thank you

I looked at the Summer's web site.
Do you happen to have a model number of the camera? As they have many models.

Two external wires black and red. Are they possibly the wires for powering the camera?

I suspect you would have to modify the camera to route the video out of it. Bypassing the wireless sender.

The numbers are as follows....13072053, EX13134,#28870. I am assuming the # is the code for it. I have a picture, but it wont let me apply to the post.

thank you, joe

#28870 seems to be the model of the Kit {wireless monitor and wireless camera}.

You looking for help on the camera or the monitor?

Some one may have been messing with the camera already as there should be no black and red wire out of the case.
Are the wires maybe plugged into the base with its wall wart power input jack and the wall wart end cut off?

Depending on the manufactures security settings on the FCC web site. Sometime the schematics are made public.
If you have an FCC ID Number on the unit.

Since this is not an X10 product. I am not too sure how much information we maybe able to provide.
