Title: Doesn't wake up
Post by: timlight10 on January 26, 2018, 03:44:38 AM
My wifi module works but after a while it goes to sleep. After that the app looses connection to the device and cannot reconnect. Only unplugging and replugging will fix it... temporarily.

Anyone else experience this?

I updated the FW to .23

Does the blue light go out?
Have you tried it in another outlet closer to your router?

Blue light stays on the whole time, and I have tried several different outlets. Upon opening the app each time, I will only re-connect about 50% of the time.

When the app loses connection go to settings/Enter the WiFI setup wizard and try entering the connection info to see if it will reconnect that way.
that will over write the connection settings the app currently uses.
If it doesn't display your WiFi then there may be another issue at hand.

With the Android version, I've found that if the app won't reconnect after you switch back to it, opening the app drawer/history and swiping it closed, then relaunching the app works every time.  It is not very good at reconnecting if it's already in memory.

I'm wondering if the reconnect after sleep bug was totally fixed.
timlight10 when the app doesn't connect go to your phones settings /apps and force close the X10WIFI app
Once closed reopen it and see if it connects.
The Blue light on the WM100 indicates it is connected.
Have you tried to do a reset to factory of the app?
That won't lose any of your data stored on the WM100.
A hard reset of the WM100 will, instructions are on Page 18-19 of the manual.
