Title: History Function Observation
Post by: martin on February 02, 2018, 06:09:49 AM
Folks, I’ve played with the history function of my WM100 WiFi hub and noted the following:

Device needs to be created first before the history function can report status / action. In other words, if you send a X10 command that does not have an associated device created in the WiFi hub, the history function will not report it.

Once the device is created, the History function will track the associated PLC command regardless of the source (i.e. Palmpad, AHP or Console).

History report is not updated in real time (unlike AHP), you have to synchronize with the WM100 each time (selecting “Back” and then “X10 WiFi history and settings” to get the refreshed data).

History function is accessed under “Setup” and then by selecting “X10 WiFi history and settings”. Not sure why the label says “and settings” as I did not see any History function associated settings.

The "and settings" refers to the app version, IP and Port info that is displayed.
I believe "History and app Info" would have been more suitable.

It is true the history only reports PLC activity of devices configured.
