Title: New version of Android app
Post by: Knightrider on February 13, 2018, 06:39:54 AM
Anyone else notice a newer version on the play store dated Feb 12? I had to unintelligible and reinstall to update, but one of the bug fixes was that the app no longer forces the wifi to turn on.

I just downloaded it.  I'm not sure what changed with it but I was disappointed that the device name length is still the same.

I've been playing with a new version for a bit testing some of the adds I'm surprised Google has the update as one of the issues was having to uninstall and reinstall on the Androids.
I'm not sure if this is required with the iOS version.
I don't think the developer is to familiar with Android coding  ::) :'
I'll have to download to see if anything was fixed the time sync was also worked on but it still had issues when I tested.

So for android we need to delete the app, then reinstall correct?  That means we need to be at the module so we can take a picture of the QR code again, right?

I got a notification that the app had updated, no input necessary. I went into the app and noticed nothing different. Didn't look at the Store to see what the update contained, but seeing above that they did a fix for router with no password is interesting...my router has no password and it wouldn't let me connect when I first loaded the app and scanned the WM100, I ended up hitting the space bar and it went right to the 'Success' screen. I guess they have removed the need to input something in the password field.

I also still got a history time out just now. Tried a second time and got a history list that was incorrect, several devices missing and also lots of commands. Fortunately history is not a critical part of the WM100 for me since I have a CM15.

I'm at .07 version, but I still get the 'exception' error when trying to download the history.  I am not on my home network though, so perhaps that is the issue.

Cool I didn't have to uninstall good thing I attempted the update first! :)% so it looks like that was fixed going forward.
the time sync issue isn't addressed totally either B:( it will not except the ignore,  if you press it the warning of time out of sync still pops up. B:(
Why do I bother testing? ::) :'

The history timeout was noticeable in both iOS and Android. It obviously didn't get fixed for Androids B:(
Maybe a 50 event history is to big to be handled over the network, even with a fast connection. ::) :'

I fired off an email to Authinx about so many issues not resolved.
the reasoning is the developer was going  on new years holidays and wouldn't be able to work on it then.
Since there were several users that had issue with the app requiring a password for network connection, they felt the need to push an early release. Authinx is aware of several issues still not resolved.
