Title: All Lights On vs All Lights On?!
Post by: VinRin57 on June 08, 2018, 03:58:01 AM
I have an old alarm interface (PSC01), which when triggered used to flash the lights using the old WS467 type switches.

Now that I have upgraded to LED's and replaced those switches with WS13A type, they no longer respond to the alarm. BUT within the WiFi app, you can designate the WS13A's as a light or not a light.

Long winded question: Any thoughts on what to do with the alarm interface? Or on how to trigger the lights in an alarm event?  Thank you!

The WS13A doesn't respond to all lights on/off as it is not classed as a light switch more an appliance switch.
If you wish some lights to flash with your alarm put them on a lamp module or get a switch that has dim capabilities and use dimmable LEDs.
Rumor has it Authinx ( their factory) is working on a new Wi-Fi security console. I've no info on this but if true I suspect it will work with the WM100 and how devices are configured.

Thank you TM!
Was hoping for some unknown workaround hack!
Thx again!

TM.. I did some further testing and it looks like the interface is not working at all.
Doesn't turn anything on or off....

Before I get the bug and replace it, it appears that if set at mode 3, it 'should' turn on and off that specific address, correct?

Would that indicate anything regardless of module type?

Older securtty consoles  i believe only worked with lights.
If you have AHP you can probably create a macro that worked with all lights on and another for allights off.

Yes mode 3 sends an On when triggered and Off when the trigger is removed. The TEST button should also sent an On when pushed and an Off when when released. Any X10 module on the House Code and Unit Code sent by the PSC01. Should go On and Off.

Found the PSC01 manual if you need it.

The WS13A manual indicates. Will respond to an All Lights On command on its House Code.

Your finding it controls nothing may also indicate it has failed.

Thanks Brian...

I think you nailed it.. finding nothing is responding pretty much indicates it's failed.

I did look over the manuals and with nothing happening, and changing modules over the years, led to the question...
I guess I should test these things more often!

Thank you again...

Maybe time to consider a new alarm all together?
