Title: Dusk Dimming bug
Post by: Tucson on July 10, 2018, 01:35:06 PM
Found a bit of a strange problem. When using the turn on at dusk timer, if the light is all ready turn on a Dim command is sent instead of a On command. I turned on the light using a mini controller. I have it set to turn on 30 minutes before dusk. I verified it using the history download. If the light is off everything works.

Not sure if this is all units or just mine.

Found a partial solution, change setup to not dimmable. Yes you do lose function but most of these are outdoor lights and the indoor light are LED which do not dim very well.

This now allows me to turn on a light before the schedule with out it then being dim at the schedule time.

It would be really nice if someone else would test this to make sure it’s not just my box and if so we could put a bug report in to fix this.

Not sure if it makes a difference.
Are the lights controlled by a later revision X10 module with Soft Start and Preset Dim if a wall switch?

It is a wall switch with a soft start but that does not make a difference. I dumped the History and it shows it is sending a DIM command. When it is working and I dump the history it shows a ON command.

But thank you for trying to help.

I've noticed this too.
