Title: So, what’s next for the WM100 ecosystem?
Post by: ceedee on August 15, 2018, 08:42:35 AM
X10 team,
I’m interested in getting a handle on next steps for this puppy, specifically the app.  Arguably, the latest update came up short on fixes, and documented functionality is still not working.  What’s next?  When do you expect to release new versions of the iOS and android apps?  What are you fixing?  What is your roadmap?

I’m not suggesting that you disclose the family jewels, but it would help me (and other users?) if you could be a little more transparent.  I’m willing to hang tight a bit more if I have some idea that progress is being made on fixes that gets the apps working to the level that you document in your marketing literature.

Thanks for listening.

Chris

Since this is a User to User style forum.
We probably would not have much added information than what is trickled to us from X10.

Originally the plan was for this to have macros though not as elaborate as that of AHP(No RF triggering)
The Owner also stated originaly he was working on getting the Protocol and to release it publicaly.
I continue to point out the benifits of the open souce protocol and expect when/if this is released the x10 wi-fi apps will stop being worked on as I believe this is a waste of time.
Given the slow progress of the bug fixes for the apps I wouldn't expect many more added features. Authinx has stated bug fixes have top priority.

I’d be happy with the apps performing as stated in the marketing materials.

That is top priority. Android code is very easy to test IOS is a bit more difficult but is doable.
The fact that the developer is in China isn't helping things  B:(

I hate to post this... it almost sounds X10-treasonous. But I consider the WM-100 (with my phone) as the greatest X10 remote ever made. I had previously used Melloware.... running on my phone and a server app on a laptop... connected to a CM19A and running 24/7 to get the same results as the WM-100.
