Title: Can't get pool lights to turn off with remote
Post by: jaarch on August 17, 2018, 05:16:55 PM
Greetings experts! I have a pool light and waterfall feature installed with X10 switches. The waterfall works perfectly on and off with the remote however the pool light will turn on but not off with the remote. Everything functions normally when using the switches directly. The pool light is one of those rotating LED models and the switch it is connected to is a brand new XPS4. I have tried changing channels and the device number and it is still the same. The transceiver is about five feet away as well. Do I need to install a filter on the light to get this to work? If so, what filter?

If the pool light has a 120V plug or can be adapted to use a 120V plug, the X10 XPPF between the X10 switch and the LED pool light should do the job.  Or perhaps you can find a pool light that doesn't generate enough noise to block the X10 OFF command.

Awesome! Thank you! I'll give that a try.

Problem solved! I wired in an XPF filter and everything works as advertised. Thanks for the help.
