Title: WiFi app for PC?
Post by: audiology on July 29, 2019, 03:31:28 PM
Is there a way to access the X10 WiFi module from a Windows PC? The apps seem to be limited to iPhone and Android, both of which work very well. I would like to access the X10 system remotely.

Thanks for any advice.

The only way I know of is to use an Android simulator on your PC. I had one running and was almost done but couldn't get a good picture/scan of the QR code on the WM100 with my laptop camera, so could not complete the setup. If you can figure out a workaround for that if your camera doesn't scan the code, then you'd be set I would think.

...creative alternative. I'll try it.

Thanks

There is some chatter about that here (http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=30233.msg172728).

Bluestacks continues to work with the WiFi app from my laptop.
However I rarely use the WM100 anymore.
