Title: Hello and Help
Post by: Glen P on September 04, 2019, 03:12:15 PM
Hello Everyone. My first post on here. I have been using x10 in my woodshop for 20 years to control my dust collector and radio. MY dust collector is a heavy duty 240v 20a appliance module. I keep spare modules and remotes so have if one breaks down or ? Everything was fine til yesterday morning. Came into shop and clicked on1 on remote for radio on the 120 module and then clicked on2 for my dust collector. It isnt receiving the signal from the remote. I tried 3 different remotes and 2 different modules in 4 locations of shop and still wont work. Usually you can hear the click of the relay engaging and I hear nothing now. Any ideas of what else to try?

Cheers
Glen Peterson

If you are using an X10 RF Remote.
What transceiver module are you using to get the Remotes Commands onto the power lines. For the modules to respond to.
If it failed. The modules would not receive the remotes commands.
Try rotating the House Code switch a few times in the transceiver. Sometimes they get dirty and change House Code form what the dial says it is set to. If it is a RR501 then you could also toggle the 1-9 selector switch a few times.

Did the 120VAC module controlling the Radio work and only the 220V Heavy Duty Appliance module did not respond?

Does the dust collector run OK if directly connected to the 220 Volt Outlet?
