Title: Thead Deleted?
Post by: dan on April 13, 2005, 05:09:19 PM
I Posted on 4/12/05, now I cannot find it.
I know the Observer was talking in it also,
but don't remember the name.

We haven't deleted any threads -- did you
post to the General forum, or maybe to one of
the other ones? What was the thread about?

It was here in general.  I even went back
into temp. internet files and it said "RE"
nothing.  I was able to go to another thead
that I posted earlier.  It went right to
it, using the temp. files.

There was a problem one weekend where about
2 weeks of threads got trashed and were
lost. It wasn't a deliberate deletion but
they are gone. The forum had a problem and
the thread indexes got scrambled - maybe
that is where your thread went to - bit
space.

Looks like there is a problem again today. 3
pages of threads left only.

We even lost "An honest thank you!"

I wonder how many other threads/posts are
missing?

Would be nice to be able to search.  But,
then again we would have to do it for
them.  The forum is just as good as the
CM15.

Quick - someone - re-post "An Honest Thank
You".  Without it holding a spot in this
forum, the universe feels a little out of
balance!

I'm not sure what's going on -- it looks like
all the data is present on the server -- but
will figure it out.

Dan:  Was it  Title "Pro"  and initiated by
Eric?

I'm not sure, but I know there was some X10
bashing going on.

Oh, ya we were making fun of someone
stuttering.  Because he posted like eight
times.

Fearful:  Please don't turn tearful, but do
pay attention and practice rectitude.

The missing threads should be restored, by
the way -- we fixed it yesterday morning.

X10 Pro:  The thread titled "Pro" started
by "Eric" has not been restored as of April
18, 2005 at 16:14 hours.

You promised to restore it . . .  WHEN?

Steve RF:  Is this the type of open forum
you referred to?

Observer: I didn't promise to restore
anything specific. We restored everything we
were able to restore, and I didn't realize we
were missing any data, other than what we
already lost in March.

As I'm sure everyone here has noticed, these
forums ARE open. We haven't removed any
promotion of Smarthome products, or any
criticism of ActiveHome Pro or X10 in general.

X10 Pro:

I was addressing threads in April not just
March, and their apparent convenient
selectivity.

You can do with your forums as you wish, but
don't insult our intelligence, please.

I've noticed this thread being read by many guests!
The forum has changed greatly since this thread was started:[/b]
Most of what MichelC (the old x10Pro) started has been maintained here
Why would he keep coming back after leaving x10 if he didn't enjoy helping others?
After all that's the main reason for this board:
Help others get their systems up and running with good reliability!
You can still post about other homeautomation products even competetors!
You can still bash X10 products here without fear of them being deleted (why bother though? It helps no one )The post may be moved but not deleted!

If you notice a thread\post deleted the reason is:
