Title: Check for Update cause AHP to crash.
Post by: sam molone on July 13, 2005, 04:24:10 PM
Everytime I am in AHP and run the Check for
Update I get the Send Dont Send error
report to MS.

3.186 is the version I am running.

Manually updated and got it fixed.

Was there ever an answer on if the
interface units (CM15A) needed to be
replaced or was it all fixed in
firmware/software updates?????

Sam: About the update crash, can I get some
information from you? What version of Windows
(and what service pack) are you using? What
firewall software do you run? What anti-virus
program are you using? Do you use an Internet
security package?

Various software updates should have fixed
most of the problems in AHP. If your
interface isn't working the way it should,
give us a call and we'll figure out what's
not working.

How did you manually download the update?
My system crashes when I try to update.
I'm using Active home pro Version 3.165
Firmware 1.  I'm using Window XP Home
Editon  Version 2002  Service Pack 2

I'm not using antivirus software, and
windows firewall is enabled.

I believe this is a standard feature of
AHP: update = crash.

I am running XP Pro SP2. No firwall
software, only the built in XP firewall.

AVG free addition anti-virus. Nothing else
special.

The way I got the update to work, instead
of clicking on the Help, "check for
updates" I clicked on the "Active Home Pro"
logo at the top of the software, while it
was showing "UPDATE Available" and it
worked fine.

I too am using 3.186 and have the crash
when attempting to update.  It also crashes
when I click the logo (which
indicates "Update Available").  Where can I
manually find the update?  It didn't used
to do this.

Windows XP Home (SP2)
AVG Paid Version
Microsoft Anti-Spyware

Thank you!  Problem solved and no more
crashes on update.  Thanks for the quick
