Title: RF dim commands at different levels than line dim commands
Post by: scott on September 14, 2005, 11:36:02 AM
I recently changed over from using the
CM15A as a stand-alone controller, to using
it tethered to a PC as a wireless bridge to
a V572A.  It seems to work well, other than
the fact that all of my dimming commands
are now way off.  Dimming to anything below
around 80% is basically turning the light
off, but it still thinks it's on, so you
have to send an off before it will really
turn on again.

Is there a way to tweak the RF commands, or
at least some reference as to what to set
them at compared to an over the wire dim
command?

Do you mean dimming with remote controls? Is
it possible that the CM15A is still
transceiving your remote commands, and that
you are getting double dims as a result?

Transceiving on the CM15A is off.

Dimming to 40% with a regular timer in the
memory of the CM15A works fine.

Dimming using a remote directly to the
V572A works fine.

Dimming via an RF command sent out of the
CM15A to the V572A turns the light out
completely if it's below ~80%.  40%, 20%,
60% all just dim it til it's off.

Tried it out using a TM751 to receive the
CM15A's RF dim commands, and got the same
result.  Is there anyone that can back up my
claims, or the opposite, someone that has
used the RF dim commands in a macro and had
them work correctly?
