Title: Whats this featured plugin crap now?
Post by: joe on December 06, 2005, 08:36:35 PM
I have AHP running 24-7 now about every half
hour some damn featured plugin tab comes on
the task bar and cant be closed except by the
task manager. I have show featured plugin
unchecked in the preferences. Does anyone
else have this? is it a new feature from the
malware squad at X10?

WTF?

This is part of AHP, it has some spam thing
where it has a checkbox in the preferences
that says show featured plugin but as usual,
it doesnt work. So every 10 minutes or so,
this little advert comes up. there is an
option to check remind me in 1 day, 2 days...
never. Guess what, if you press the remind me
never option, AHP produces a general
protection fault.

I had to set it to 2 weeks so it didnt crap
all over windows.

Way to go X10

Joe: The "Never" option is working for me
here -- what version of AHP are you running?
This feature has been in AHP for about a year
I think.

Pro,

I am running version 3.187 last update
6/9/2005. It has been running on my laptop
for quite a while but as you can see from
threads in this forum, I recently got a new
PC and installed it according to the links
you sent. It never pops up on my laptop but
always pops up on my HTPC. I did manage to
get it set to 2 weeks but EVERY time I
clicked never, AHP crashed my PC.

It is a P4 3.2 GHZ, 1GB ram 1TB disk space
running Windows XP pro MCE2005 SP2. My laptop
is running XP pro with SP2.
