Title: Making a macro
Post by: charley on January 28, 2006, 07:29:29 PM
I am attempting to make a macro to do the
following. I want my outside floodlight (On
a X10 wall switch) to turn on at dusk and
off at dawn at 50% brightness. I also
installed an eagle eye motion detector near
the outside light, when it detects motion I
want the outside lights to go full bright
for 1 min then return to 50%. Is this even
possible? If so please help. I have the
Smart Macro software but it is not helpfull.

I've done basically what you've described
with SmartMacros and it works flawlessly.
I created a Lamp On macro, a Lamp Off
macro, and a Motion Detected macro.  The
lamp comes on (with a timer) at dusk (at
50%) and off (with a timer)at dawn.  The
Motion Sensor triggers the Motion Detected
macro that causes the lamp to 100%
brightness for 20 seconds and then back to
50% brightness.  Hope this helps.
